With my diverse musical training , I've developed a unique sound that blends jazz, blues, folk, and soulful techniques. During my shows, you can expect a mix of original songs that I've carefully crafted, along with my own authentic renditions of well-known tunes. I love connecting with my audience through music and sharing stories that resonate with them.
I've had the privilege of performing at different music venues in Alberta, where both music fans and fellow musicians have praised my talent and stage presence. It's been incredible to have seasoned musicians back me up on stage. On top of my vocal training, I also play guitar, piano, and saxophone, which adds depth to my performances.
Recently, I was honored to be named Berklee College of Music's Slaight Family Scholar, which comes with a full scholarship for four years. I'm really excited because I'll be heading to Boston in September to pursue a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance at Berklee College of Music, all thanks to the scholarship!
One of the things that brings me the most joy is seeing audience members lose themselves in my live performances. It's an amazing feeling.

Hey there!
I'm Emét, also known as Emmét McGonagle. AKA, according to the National Music Centre, I'm indie-folk's travelling troubadour.
I've really embraced Alberta's country music flair in my latest single called "Alone Together." It's an acoustic lament that explores a not-so-healthy relationship and the emotional bruises that come along with it.
After the release of my debut LP, "Carlin's Farm," last year (which made it to Chordblossom's top 25 Northern Irish albums of 2022), I'm excited to share that "Alone Together" is the third single from my sophomore project, "Your Best Marionette."
When creating this track, I drew melodic inspiration from amazing artists like Big Thief and Orville Peck. And you might catch some Leonard Cohen-esque vibes too, with its mix of romantic complacency and catharsis. It's pretty cool that this song earned me a finalist spot in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition in 2022.

I'm Tissa Rahim, also known, in some circles, as the Persian Powerhouse.
In my music, I freely explore my effortless Soul/RnB sound, but what makes it even more special to me and my fans is how I infuse my music with traditional Persian music that has been a part of my family for generations.
I think it's a beautiful blend of contemporary and cultural influences that I'm really proud to perform and share.
Not only do I perform as a solo act, but I also have a versatile band that can expand up to six members. I love bringing my music to life with a full ensemble. Additionally, I've had the privilege of leading workshops where I discuss how my Middle Eastern roots have influenced my contemporary songwriting. It's a great way to share my heritage and inspire others.
Since 2019, I've been steadily building up an enticing catalog as a solo artist. I've released digital tracks, created music videos, and collaborated with talented artists in Vancouver and beyond. It's been an exciting journey of growth and creative exploration.
In addition to my recent studio work, I've also been hitting the road for performances. I had the opportunity to showcase my talent in London and even traveled all the way to Tallinn, Estonia. It's been such a thrill to share my music with audiences in different parts of the world.
I'm really excited about what the future holds for me as an artist, and to share with you new music infused with timeless sounds of Persian musical traditions.

Get ready for a dose of Latin folk rhythms with a twist of Caribbean flavor, because me and my trusty Venezuelan Cuatro** are here to rock your world!
When we hit the stage, you can expect a lively fusion of Latin folk with Caribbean vibes like reggae and ska. We'll have you dancing and grooving in no time. Most of our songs are in Spanish, but we love putting our own spin on English classics by legends like Bob Marley and The Beatles. Picture those familiar tunes with a Venezuelan twist that'll make you say, "Wow, I never heard them like this before!"
(And that's mainly because, indeed, you've never heard them like that before.)
